MNO Partnership Development Manager (Firewall) – (Code PDMF0122)

About the Role:

Our customer is looking for an Mobile Network Operator (MNO) Partnership Development Manager – Firewall to join on a permanent contract. This is a remote opportunity, meaning that you will benefit from homeworking.

The customer works on a global scale, which brings with it opportunities on a global scale. This role will see you playing a key part in the development of a multi-point Operator Firewall and SMS and HLR monetisation product portfolio. You will be working alongside established and experienced teams to sell this product to a target customer base of 700+ roaming partners.

The ideal candidate will come from a tier-1 SMS Aggregator or an established Firewall Vendor and will have a proven track record selling firewall solutions to tier-1 MNOs. You will have an intimate knowledge of the commercial models favoured by both large and small MNOs, an understanding of the unique selling points that have enabled the key competitors in this market to be successful and the creativity to successfully leverage the companies strengths to win business in this space.

Role Requirements:

  • Target tier-1 Mobile Network Operators to promote the companies multi-point Operator Firewall Solution.
  • Promote an award-winning HLR monetisation platform as a new revenue stream for MNOs.
  • Work with partner MNOs to a develop mutually beneficially SMS Hub strategy to suit target market.
  • Develop new preferred and exclusive partnerships through lead exploitation, networking and direct approach.
  • Manage the operator tender process from end to end, collaborate internally with the Marketing and Operator Trading teams further develop the companies brand as a trusted tier-1 SMS hub and HLR API partner across the GSMA MNO community.
  • Collaborate with the companies Product, Technical, and Finance teams to develop competitive, bespoke and commercially attractive solutions to suit operator partner requirements.
  • Work with the Support, Operations, and Routing teams to ensure the smooth deployment of new operator firewall and hub solutions.
  • Create accurate monthly forecasting for new partnerships based on realistic SMS volumes and subscriber numbers.
  • Degree in business, marketing, public relations or similar.
  • Self-motivated, self-aware, self-disciplined and self-improving.
  • Excellent numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrable telecommunications experience; coupled with a broad understanding of network technologies, preferably in the SMS/HLR arena.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex commercial and technical issues to solve problems, through face-to-face meetings, conference calls, presentations, and other electronic communications.
  • Extensive experience and understanding of the purchasing/sales processes and corporate dynamics of large organisations.
  • A talent for building functional and emotional relationships with relevant counterparts in customers’ organisations.
  • Proven track record of selling messaging firewall solutions to the senior management of Mobile Network Operators.
  • Work in an agile and flexible manner, demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude.
