Job Description:
As the NOC Technician, we are looking for someone organized, with good people skills, a good analytical mind and attention to detail, to work at the NOC (Network Operations Center) in Cyprus. This position provides efficiency to the operational activities of the NOC and ensures the quality of service response to our customers and respective monitoring of the performance of business-critical systems in Messaging. The ideal candidate will have SMPP, HTTP-MTs and API implementation skills and a problem-solving mindset. We welcome your creativity and business acumen to propose new ideas that can lead to new processes and IT tools that may lead to decreased response times, proactiveness in the service provided and increased client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
As NOC Technician you will be responsible for:
Working a 24x7 command center, implementing and executing processes for monitoring and alerting, resolution of incidents and problem management, coordination during major service interruptions, ensuring notifications and updates, on-going monitoring, and completing detailed reviews for major service;
Provide smart responses to our Clients, ensuring their satisfaction, and suggesting improvements to ensure “error, learn and correct” method is applied;
Ensure timely response to customers, as well as ensuring the quality of such responses;
Be polite, cooperative, pragmatic and positive with Clients and Suppliers.
You will be in full control of yourself being able to constantly tweak and readjust your work methodologies to meet the defined KPIs for you.
What We Require:
2+ years of experience in IT Support or Messaging Routing;
2+ years of experience in B2B support;
2+ years of experience with relational databases (Postgres/SQL Server);
2+ years of experience working in messaging operating systems;
Enjoy establishing close customer relations and interactions;
Good organizational and analytical skills;
Proactive, working with a high level of autonomy, result-oriented and careful with details;
Fluency in English. Spanish or Portuguese will be considered as a plus.
Bonus Requirements:
Solid experience in the Telecommunication industry either on Mobile Network Operators or A2P SMS Aggregators;
Experience working with telco protocols (UCP, SMPP) and network protocols (TCP, HTTP, WebServices SOAP);
Knowledge of A2P SMS and VoIP industry.
